Justin was born 3rd November 1936 to Daniel and Rubina Hunter in East Merton, Portland Jamaica. He was the second eldest of four children.
He attended school in Port Antonio where he also became fluent in the Spanish language.
After leaving school he moved to Kingston. Where he trained, qualified, and worked as an Electrician.
He emigrated to England in 1958 and gained employment as a train driver with British Rail
(first black train driver out of Kings Cross St Pancras).
It wasnt long after arriving here, that he invited his brother (Conny) and sister (Miss Dan) to join him here in England.
He continued driving trains for 30 or so years, during which time he became extremely well travelled, often visiting the country of his second tongue, Spain.
He was a man of impeccable character and lived by his morals and very high principles.
During the later part of his life, he continued to enjoy extensive travelling and mixed this with his passion for photography.
He lived a full life, and recently remarried to Elaine before being admitted to Kings College hospital on 25th July. He was treated for Rhabdomyolosis, a condition that attacks the muscle tissue, low blood pressure, a failed kidney and a failed liver.
He subsequently slipped into a coma on Tuesday 26th August at 01:30 am and died at 03:00 am the same morning.
He leaves behind his wife Elaine, two daughters - Karen and Nicola , two sons Miguel and Michael), he also leaves five grandchildren, Jahmayne, Omah, Kadeem, Khelan and Shakira.
His physical presence will be greatly missed, but will not be forgotten and he remains much loved.

A brief moment of darkness

came into my view.
Loved ones and friends
I had missed for many years,
welcomed me with open arms
and many happy tears.
All the hurt, fear and pain
that I have ever known,
is gone from my life,
I am finally home.
I gazed upon the Lord's
sweet smiling face,
and for the first time in my life
I knew and felt His grace.
I know that you miss me,
but please dry your eyes.
I will always be watching and loving you
from my home in the sky.
A cool breeze on your face,
a touch of light rain,
I will send as a reminder
that we will be reunited again.
Life on earth is but one
brief moment in time,
I am finally home,
Eternity is mine.
